They’ve been telling us this since the days of SDS. Bill Ayers estimated that if the revolution was successful, after efforts at re-education, there would still be around 25,000,000 Americans who would have to be eliminated.

Back then, no one paid attention. He was just a whacky college student. The Weathermen were as likely to blow themselves up as to do any real damage. Angela Davis was hiding out in Cuba. 1968 had morphed into the disco 70s and no one cared about revolution anymore. Anyone who’d actually heard of Bill Ayers, laughed at him.

Here are a couple gems you may have missed, given that “not paying attention” has become the standard M.O. of the mainstream media.

We should probably pay attention. Angela Davis and Bill Ayers are still with us, and still exercise inordinate influence. Likewise the whole myriad gaggle of “whacky college students” from the 60s, who, while we weren’t paying attention, became DAs, mayors, members of Congress, even Attorneys General... heck, even a president.

No one paid attention when Hitler used the word “annihilation,” either.

Sadly it has become the SOP for the average citizen, which is the main reason we find ourselves in the mess we are in. When I was taking college classes back in the 90s someone made a reference to a television show that was very popular back then. When I asked who the person was they were talking about someone explained it was charceter on the show, but I was still in the dark as to the meaning of the reference because I had never seen the show. A few years before I decided to quit watching programmed television. I was actually called a liar when I said I had never seen it.

Over the next few days I would make some comment in class quoting folks like H. D. Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, or Patrick. Not the more famous people from history, but important individuals on the American landscape. Only a couple of times did anyone know anything about the person, and none of them recognized who the quote was from. Yet I could quote from a movie and in each case several people would know who I was quoting and from what movie. They also had a tendency to know more about the lives of those fictional characters than they ever knew about the men who helped shaped this country.

Bill Gates is another mutt preaching that we have to rid the world of at least 20% of the population to make things better too. Perhaps he learned a little better PR than what Hitler had because he does not use words like annihilation in his over population speeches. They also learned not to focus on a single ethnicity or spiritual belief system as those who had to be eliminated.
