USPS has started reducing post office operating hours across several states and removing letter collection boxes, according to union officials.
Officials say that in the last week the USPS removed collection boxes in New York, Oregon, Montana and Indiana.

Newly installed postmaster general, Louis DeJoy has made sweeping changes to the public services of USPS, mainly aimed at cost-cutting leading to service slowdown across many States. Democrats view this as “voter suppression” connected to delaying and nullifying mail-in ballots, directed by the Trump administration.

Letter volume has declined precipitously since the World Wide Web debuted. Thousands, tens of thousands, of mailboxes are continuously empty, but mail carriers have to stop and check them six days a week. That costs money. It wastes resources.

The USPS has lost $79 billion over the last twenty years. It needs to be reorganized to fit the business it actually has. That way there will be more mail carriers to pick up ballots and fewer checking empty mailboxes.

The woke-left is extremely effective in its core mission of casting doubt, so expect the assault on the “fairness” in the voting system to grow. The far left has an alarming number of Americans believing democracy does not exist.

Here in Canada, there’s a reliable paper voting system, run by an independent agency with results tabulated in a few hours. It’s hard to criticize. So the Canadian woke-left has to use a different disruption tactic, telling people the “first past the post” system (50 +1) is unfair, and we need proportional representation.

The first job of the progressive is to make “progress” necessary by convincing us we are all oppressed victims.

The question must be asked: if the purpose of the Post Office is FIRST to deliver the mail - and I suggest that it's purpose is "first class mail", then how much does it spend/receive for THAT purpose?

If the volume of first class mail is a minor fraction of the overall, then we are supporting/subsidizing 'third class mail'.

And if we can have a smaller Post Office handling only first class mail, then I'm ok with that. Even if it means losing my weekly coupon circulars.
