Majority of Young Adults in the U.S. Now Live With Their Parents: Report
A majority of young Americans ages 18 to 29 are now living with at least one of their parents, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of Current Population Survey data. About 52% of this age group, 26.6 million people in total, were living with their parents in July, compared to 47% at the same time last year. This number surpassed the previous record of 48%, which was set in 1940, during the Great Depression.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I think that, we are just in the age that kids or adult kids would just rather stay and live with family, for a while at least, I don't think anything is directly causing it to happen in the first place, like right now I'm 25 year old man, and I would think it strange to just hear that there are people my age out there right now or even a little younger not still living with their parents, I would if I could, seriously right now if given that option over just any other option right now then I'd be choosing to live with my parents right now, is you really want to know why this is happening, I'll tell you, it's because everyone now also given now we have a lot more people in the world already knows now that our parents didn't live with their families all of them were living by themselves and look how that turned out, for us and them.

Although Covid economics has exacerbated this phenomena, a large portion of those are failure to launch "kids" whose parents have enabled them to avoid becoming adults.
I have a sister, heart of gold, who has a 37 year old son, a 35 year old son (with a child and failed common law marriage) and a 22 year old daughter, her child and her common law husband all permanently living off of her and her husband (food and housing). Her excuse? The rents they'd have to pay are too high.

@CharliePrime I know that all plays into it. "Adulting" it seems is too challenging these days. I don't remember it being too easy for us to do it, but then again childhood homes were "ruled" and as a young adult I couldn't wait to rule my own life. It wasn't always easy but we did do it. That certainly isn't the case today.
