This has never been the business of angels, but they exceed the Chinese Bots, when it comes to clumsy. The business use to have a subtlety to it's corrupting influence! No matter your view of the ideas presented, the fact is there's always a new normal being formed in the present. That's part of why conservatism always fails. It is fighting a losing battle because it never has a vision for the future. It works to preserve rather to form anew. Conservatism is an intellectual defense of "that's how we've always done it." In reality, the passions rule, and they're the creative forces of human nature. It's the people who act in the world governed by and acting on their passions are the ones creating the "the ways we've always done it" that conservatives will defend tomorrow--or even later this afternoon.
There are passionate people at the extremes who are actively working to organize networks and communities in which new ways of being are becoming manifested in the real world. Right and left are BOTH right now active trying to build, work, buy, support local tribal ecosystems, trying to get themselves unwound from impersonal global multicult BS ratrace world.

Conservatives should embrace the green new deal. What could be more conservative than saving the planet. 
Donald Trump has shown the way for Republicans to take back the working class from the radical left. For over a century the working class, especially labor unions, have been dominated by socialist leaning organizers. There has also been significant socialist movements among farmers, especially in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Additionally large segments of society are willing to embrace socialist like regulation for environmental protection. What Trump was able to exploit was that the cost of socialism lite has been born primarily by the poor and working class. The cost of regulation has been the exportation of pollution and cheap labor to China with the associated destruction of the industrial heartland and the loss of good paying jobs. The associated shift from blue collar to white collar employment created a class divide with the white collar "elite" and massive government employment making half the population immune from the consequences of "progressive" politics. The banksters, globalists, and corporatists jumped on board because there were plenty of ways to profit from international trade, environmental regulation, the breaking up of industry and the shift away from infrastructure investment. It was a perfect storm in which a "populist" could be elected president.
The key to turning environmentalism against the radicals is to show that it has hurt the poor. The Republican green new deal could focus on cheap energy. That means new nuclear designs, natural gas, cheap but efficient transportation, improved housing for the poor, and a move away from things like solar and electric cars the poor and working class cannot afford.
The key is to shame the white collar class for adopting environmental policies that punished the poor and working class. To show how billions of poor around the world are being oppressed by the current environmental policies with very little actual benifit. Shame them for exploiting cheap labor and exported pollution to China for cheap consumer goods. Show how California's environmental policies have punished the poor and made the energy sector unreliable with very little actual progress.

Natural gas seems to be pretty green at the moment. More importantly U.S. energy independence that results from tracking has significant political impacts that help the Liberal Democracy from being blackmailed by bad actors such as Russia and Iran.

The country's that have tried to go down the radical path have failed. Only France with has a large investment in nuclear are likely to come close.

@A1fredo this is why its important to be skilled at a profitable trade..its the only way one can refuse their system and still be capable of surviving. All of this, although imaginable, as of now is only a form of propaganda. Its important not to dwell on it, while remaining aware of it..being that there are likely other threats to look out for, and personally progression should always be the main focus.
