Here we go again the dems threaten impeachment 2.0 to block SCOTUS appointment. I hope enough Americans are sick of these shenanigans and will flood their state dem House Reps offices with emails/voicemails condemning their waste of the taxpayers hard earned money on a repeat political circus for some lame reason as well as their failure to stop the violent destructive riots. We need to raise hell!

If the Democrats try this before the election, Republicans will win the presidency, the senate and the house, along with the opportunity to put ACB on SCOTUS if they haven't already done it before the election despite Democrat obstruction.
I almost hope they do impeach him again... Wouldn't that be an achievement? The first POTUS to be impeached TWICE by swamp scum and subsequently reelected by the people!

I think you are right about it being political suicide, but it may be that they are just that desperate. I certainly hope they don't do it.
"If the House passed an impeachment — no matter how meritless — under the "Rules of Procedure and Practice in the Senate When Sitting on Impeachment Trials," the Senate would be required to begin the trial by 1 p.m. on the day following the day that the House sends its impeachment "managers" to the Senate to present the articles of impeachment."
The "no matter how meritless" part gets to me the most. Seriously. Putting Trump aside, what about his supporters? Heck, what about undecideds or those on the fence? If the Democrats really go down this road, again, it will just end up making them look bad. Sure, there are the extremist lefts that will be on board.
However, with every strenuous attempt at making Trump look bad, they're pulling further away from the average citizen. I'm not talking about the ones that are constantly on online. I'm talking about the ones whose lives are being upended by rioters, who while turning on the news are hearing Biden say that Antifa doesn't exist and are extremely confused. 2020's really not making the Democrats look good at all. They're so obsessed with Trump, the rest of us don't matter at all. I think more people are starting to notice, at least I hope they do.
