I have long ranted about western civilizations hue and cry for "democracy" when if they were an informed public they would certainly not want a "universal" form of democracy. A tiered form of democracy sounds good but a logistical nightmare. All we need is to make voting a privilege and not a right where certain criteria qualify one for the privilege to vote. In a federal election the concept or principles of the nation must be of prime concern not whether or not food stamps are available. So I essentially agree with changing the idea of our universal democracy to a limited democracy. A criminal conviction should result in a loss of the privilege but then again laws and justice must be clearly understood and implemented - no political prisoners without an actual crime. First generation immigrants should not have a vote and identity politics needs to be outlawed. No one should be forced to wear a label, especially a victim label, to identify them and vote for handouts form the government.
I agree with decentralization as well, meaning the federal or national governments should have limited mandates. Its interests should represent the sovereignty of the nation and the equal application of its laws regarding its citizens to the protection of the individual and that is about it. The general welfare of the nation not the welfare of every citizen.
