Yeah, I saw this tweet and the comments were either "restrained officers wait to desculate" type of positive remarks to others flat out making fun of the officers as being scared and cowardly.

I guess they were told to stand down? I think they made arrests later, and were using this as evidence to prove they didn't attack first? I don't know. It's definitely not how I would think cops would react to this situation.

We've seen non stop attacks on cops and only cops being held responsible. It's infuriating to say the least. They keep talking about "reimagining" policing. I never hear anyone talk about "reimagining" criminal behavior.

I'm not a cop, but then again a majority of the politicians talking aren't either, so would "reimagining" criminals go something like this:

THIS CAN ONLY WORK WITH REIMAGINED POLICE

1. Defund/ Abolish Criminals: This one's fairly obvious. If we want to stop criminal behavior like murder and assault. Just stop funding criminals. I'm not talking about reform programs. It's pretty obvious they don't work at all. Lots of repeat offenders out there. Instead of focusing money on criminal reform programs, we should pay social workers to partner with criminals 24/7 instead. Eventually, criminals will just phase out over time.

2. Demilitarized Criminals: Make guns illegal. It's sure to work because everyone obeys the law. The only ones who don't obey the law are that way because of cops. So, because there will be no cops, there will be no future criminals. Hence, no need for guns. (Side note: During the "reimagined police" and "reimagined criminals" transition, there may be instances of gun involved attacks. In those cases the criminal is allowed to shoot, but only if they aim for the leg. Police however, will fall into the criminal category if they shoot back so they will need an additional social worker to partner up with their existing desculating social worker, if they survive)

3. "Reimagined Crime": After the transition of reimagined police and criminals has has taken full effect, phase 3 will happen. Some may see certain things like murder and assault and might think the program has been unsuccessful. They would be wrong. Fact checking future data based on speculation through credible sources like "snoopes" say that we are the only country that considers certain behaviors as "criminal". Because there are no cops or criminals, it's impossible to have crime. Those that think differently will be partnered with a social worker 24/7 in order to see that murder and assault is actually perfectly normal and is actually dangerous to think otherwise. (Side note: social workers may want to start arming themself just in case)
