Evil is a myth. There's only lack of perspective--unawareness. And we all are part of it. That being true, propagating this idea as an absolute is the only way to make the worse of us self-reflect. So whatever religion finally succeeds long term, this must be one of its teachings.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I don’t like to use the ‘evil’ much, because it loses its meaning, but I believe it absolutely exists. Just look at the history of mankind, and the continual push of groups/governments for domination and control over others.

I agree it exists if we fine-tuned it to mean those who are willingly negligent of their own selfish biases after being mae conscious of them. Otherwise, I think our position is fix to "good' like a compass where what moves are the situations and circumstances. Even Mao was doing it or a good cause as far as he knew. I think its evil not to self reflect, but without being made aware of, we are only assuming people realize they are being evil. I am en extremely bitter and hateful person and even in my worse vindictive desires, I notice there is that justification in my head. I think we cannot decide to do "objective bad" because it causes cognitive dissonance. Maybe we can just do good and whats lacking are our perspectives and abilities to be self aware due the lack of adversity.
