So once again Trump loses the popular vote, but if you take California out of the mix, he wins. Keep that in mind the next time someone babbles about the “outdated” Electoral College.
California deciding who will be president from now on is Exhibit A in the indictment against simple majority rule—and a testament to the foresight and genius of the founders.

We should return to the system the #Founders originally intended, which was a small group of appointed Electors choosing the #POTUS ... no popular vote!

Yeah and if you take Texas or Florida out of the mix, Trump loses yet again. You can't just omit states just because you don't like the ideology of the majority of its residents.
Also, why does a single state matter if it became a popular vote vs the EC? The entire country gets to vote, if the majority of the people want one candidate, that has nothing to do with specific states.
