I have a coworker who is an elderly lady. A year or two ago, she fell and couldn't get back up. She had two cats in the house. When she was telling me about the ordeal, she said she called out to both cats. One refused to come at all. The other would come just out of arm's reach and just stare at her. Unhelpful!
She was eventually found because she didn't come to work in the morning. Her supervisor called the fire department and they broke in the door and rescued her.
But even so, I still love cats.

Typically, both cats, and dogs, will lick their owners faces off, literally, when they die, and aren't found early.
Just thought I'd share.

Neither do so out of malevolence, and therefore don't need any moral saviours to defend their side.

Of course they will eventually eat them if there is no other food.

The whale was Albino, not Caucasian, the Caucasus is a land mass.
This was a light hearted, happy, good news story. I posted it to brighten the day for stressed cat loving people. I’m guessing by your insistence on stone faced literal interpretation and lack of ability to sense humour, that you are some form of leftist, or possibly just a garden variety misanthrope?
