I know there was a lot of hypocrisy, it comes with the middle class values but it was kind of pleasant to just have a good time and talk about the weather or how the fish were biting.

@wolfhnd finance, in my family, was also taboo.

Would maybe have been nice if it wadden't.

I remember, as a teen, rush's tv show briefly cast, but short lived.

You know of all the kids in my family I think I'm the only one who didn't think the middle class values were insane. Ironically I was also the only one who had any real political opinions. I just didn't feel much need to share my inner thoughts I guess.

They left the soldier of fortunes stu think with the blackbelt guns and ammo?, muscle car and comics in the corner rack so kods wouldnt hold up the lines thumbing through them.

They had porn in the drugstores but I never saw anyone buy it. Must have been some way to hide the sales from kids. I remember the same drugstores sold sanitary napkins and they would wrap them in brown paper so nobody knew what the women were buying, oddly that was the only thing they wrapped in brown paper. Then the mothers would take the kids home and the kids would watch dad breed livestock. It was world perfectly made for kids to enjoy the insanity of their parents.

@govols mtvs first reality show was the real world. I don't remember politics or religeon a focus, but sex definately was a topic. 93?
