@farmerguy56 I wouldn't expect you to understand, being a Canadian, but restaurant jobs can literally pay $2 an hour. Billion-dollar corporations rely on unpaid interns to exploit labor. Jobs pay dogshit in high cost-of-living areas, and then get confused why no one wants to basically perform slave labor for almost no money.

@farmerguy56 so waiters must rely on the generosity of strangers to make a living? Their salary should be directly funded by the customers and not their employers? And that's not similar to taxpayers paying for welfare? A large amount of Walmart employees are on welfare because they are not paid living wages. It isn't immigrants or China stealing jobs - it is employers trying to get away with slave labor which is why no one wants to work.
So you won't put your actual location, but you say Canada? In any case, you don't seem to be from the USA, or you'd put a generic "USA" in your location. So you are not qualified to comment on the goings on in this country. Butt out, and take your "Exclamation Marxism" with you.
