Take anything he says with a massive grain of salt because - even if you think he did a good thing (1) - he's both a proven liar and an oathbreaker.
(1) Hint: he didn't. He told you he did, and because you distrust the government, you believed him to be a hero and a patriot. But he is neither and does not deserve your admiration.
