There is no group of people who are not guilty of oppressing other groups. You name it, color, religion, ethnicity. The reason for the domination (excuses) are as varied but it all comes down to it makes the abuser feel good. Perverse but true.

I’m actually loathe using the term “white” because it makes me as racist as a woke progressive. The hard left leverages skin colour to create division. This has always been about a power differential.

The ideas that created a safer, freer, healthier and more affluent world took root in Europe during the period of the Italian Renaissance, the voyage of Columbus and the rise of the Tudors, and ended the “Dark Ages” that prevailed since the fall of Rome. Any historians want to weigh in?

Surely there were civilizing forces all over the globe in the 16th century, but the critical mass came from this very small part of the world, not from Asia, or Africa, or (at this point) the Americas.

Progressives interpret this miracle in some very warped ways, usually wrapped in leftist conspiracy thinking around a master race and supremacy. Since we don’t teach kids history any more, woke leftists can ignore the facts, and use racism and victimhood as shorthand to whip up rage against everything that makes the West a success.

The goal is to cleanse the West of European influence, thinking and institutions, which the left codes as “decolonization”, and bring about a society based on collectivism and central control. Sounds a lot like what happened in Russia in 1917, which suggests to me that these are the same ineffective, obsolete ideas, wrapped up in some incendiary new packaging.

It is because that white guy ideas so dominate the world.

What I have learnt this year is that “White Guilt” Is not about white people oppressing other peoples… but that white people has been so incredibly successful and white ideas so good compared to everyone else.
White people have done the biggest sin of all:
White people made other people look bad.

So now we have to pretend that “indigenous wisdom and knowledge” is somehow superior and we should include this “indigenous” genius in everything.

Oh, and “indigenous” means anything that is not white. Not actual indigenous peoples.
