Offshore wind is easily installed and de-installed, especially if it's floating rather than rigidly anchored.

Nuclear is the obvious way to make massive improvements in low pollution low cost and highest safety power generation.

Solar works in deserts where the sun is always shinning. It don't work in northern latitudes or tropics where its always cloudy. Wind needs frost free, dust free and constant wind to work. This stuff only works in the correct geography. Most of the world it does not work.

It was under Obama that fracking made the massive changes in the US. Not that he was aware of it. Later progressives like AOC wanted to make fracking illegal, but the natural gas from fracking has lowered cost, lowered emissions and made the US energy independent. Morons like AOC and Gretta Thornburg seem to always lead with tears, bitching and emotion. Making policy this way will consistently lead to bad outcomes.

Wind and solar farms are expensive to install and utterly unsustainable. The only way to renew the energy they produce is to dump the non-biodegradable worn-out infrastructure, purchase new units, and install them in the same place, where they will eventually wear out again. Meanwhile, the public lands where they are installed is not available for public use and nature is disrupted.

The technology for nuclear reactors is not militarily sensitive. The concern is security.

Reactors exist that can't melt down, even if Homer Simpson is operating it. They also don't overheat even if the cooling system is destroyed. These are called TRIGA reactors, and there are a thousand of them at American universities, as research reactors and neutron sources.

Wind and Solar can't get it done. We should be expanding biomass and nuclear.
