Nobody likes Rafael Edward Cruz. Lindsey Graham has even said "If you killed (him) on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you." He is universally loathed. The epitome of a slimy hypocrite starved for attention and approval. He will completely debase himself just to get one iota of approval - like groveling at the feet of Trump even after he insulted his wife and father.

So your issue with him is that he “grovels” at the feet of Trump and Carlson, it’s not that he’s a phony conservative who shamelessly panders in front of cameras while undermining conservatives behind closed doors.
@Andyman all of the above. He claims to be a fiscal Conservative who is deeply concerned with the budget when Democrats are in power, then doesn't make a peep when Republicans spend crazy amounts. He flees his state during a crisis and lies about it and blames his children (who hate him). He is an evangelical who thinks porn and vibrators should be banned in America while simultaneously liking porn on Twitter. He is a Christian dominionist who thinks the Bible should be above the Constitution.
@JacksonNought the constitution is based on biblical principles, particularly the rights of individuals to make their own choices and of God given inalienable rights. This country was founded by MOSTLY Christian men. How can you separate the bible from our founding document? It doesn’t mean that everyone has to be a Christian and of course everyone is free to worship whatever they choose. Or not.
@Andyman actually the Constitution was based on multiple inspirations, the Founding Fathers directly said the country was not a Christian nation, and the Constitution directly contradicts the Bible. Christian dominionists like Cruz want to put biblical law above the Constitution - putting us back in the dark ages of women as chattel, throwing gays in jail, and murdering blasphemers.

Cruz talks a good talk most of the time, but I have doubts about his authenticity. In his defense there was domestic terrorism related to J6. The government assets that planned and orchestrated it, than detained the people that they entrapped for a year without charges. Those government asset assholes have committed acts of domestic terrorism.

I was living in Texas when Cruz was making a run for the Senate. A very vocal opponent of his had many spots and interviews reviewing Ted's time as a corporate attorney in Texas. He worked solely for the Chinese stopping all lawsuits against Chinese companies that stole the ideas and inventions of U. S. citizens and prevented those people from getting the revenue from their own work. I have never thought Cruz was any kind of Constitutionalist, or loyal citizen. Hell his father was a former Castroite that had to flee Cuba for offending the ruling junta of Castro.
