Amazing how the Trump right and the Russiagate center have come together again to rattle sabers for NATO in Ukraine. It's almost like they're both driven by national security state psyops.

There is no chance of Biden intervening in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Russia feels Ukraine is an intrinsic part of Mother Russia. It says Ukraine's membership in NATO would deeply threaten Russia. However NATO wasn't considering Ukraine for membership. It's economy has been pervasively corrupt. It's military was a sham force until well after Russia's invasion of Donetzk and Luhansk. Not only that, but NATO won't be adding any member already in the midst of a territorial war.
But Russia demands more than Ukraine staying out of NATO. It's demanding removal of western forces from Romania and Bulgaria. As a matter of fact it's also saying it demands all NATO forces withdraw to the old West German borders. And where does that leave Poland and the Baltic States?
But again, there is no chance of Biden intervening in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine. And we're stuck with this geriatric stumblebum for another three years.
Given all that, do I want the US to intervene militarily if Russia invades Ukraine?
My children came of age in the Bush administration. One went to Iraq, Somalia, Libya and other armpits of the universe. One went to fight in Afghanistan twice. One son-in-law served 13 months during height of combat in Iraq. My son and son-in-law came back with so many injuries they were medically retired. My daughter came back emotionally injured and was retired with 95% disability. So how did the US government honor my children's sacrifices? Just how did it honor twenty years of blood and pain? They walked away; abandoned battlefields with nary a thought. And now I'm supposed to be eager to send other people's kids to fight in Ukraine? Not on your tintype.
