Regarding nuclear power.
The “nuclear renaissance” was in full swing until Fukushima.
It took 25 years to get over Chernobyl. It was thought it would take 25 years again. And hence I retired from nuclear research and only occasionally consult.

However:
The whole energy crisis in Europe… all due to Germany going “green” and abandoning nuclear energy.
The only way out of the oil and gas dependence is nuclear. However;
That means that every country in the world can become energy independent and you could actually conceive an electric car future.

So, the very powerful cannot have that, so the impossible dream of “renewables” are pushed to stop the actual saviour, nuclear to stop the oil and gas dependence.

So, I am sitting back and watch with interest if Germany will finally concede its huge error and restart nuclear… and thereby regain its energy independence.

If Germany never abandoned nuclear… Russia would not have been able to invade Ukraine.
