When we still helped others in need and not have to seek help to have baby formula for our citizenry.
When we took responsibility for our shortcomings and mistakes instead of blaming Covid19 related issues as a scapegoat for socialist economic failures.
When MSM (Marxist State Media) was gloating over their accusations made against several different teenagers, who eventually got justice in courts of law and settlements for defamation by the MSM narrative.
When one of the most heavily guarded U.S. government places on the Earth, opened its doors for any player to operate unhindered; and claims as a 'last resort' shot & killed an unarmed woman. Even now, the search engines all call the January 6th incident an "insurrection".

Yeah...I get that a huge percentage of Republicans are more interested in winning at any cost than preserving the Democratic process. They're becomming more Russian-ish, that way.
Research schmesearch. I'm going to decide the Democrats stole the election, and spread word of that, despite the risk of that resulting in another attempt at sacking the government..because that gets the Republicans more votes and I don't want higher taxes.
We've got to convince the mentally unstable people to vote for us. They respond well to poorly researched claims made by charismatic figures who insist Jesus is on their side. They do not respond as well to nuance and arguments about things like economic theory. That confuses and bores them.
The January 6 rioters were, often, crazies. They did not represent the majority of Republicans...but crazies are pretty easy to rile up, but I blame Trump for not being more careful with his words, and I blame other Republicans who are not blaming Trump right now.

What you and a lot of other folks don't seem to understand is that what you call the Democratic process (capital 'D'
is a 'democratic' process in name only, much the same way that the 'Republican' process is frequently 'republican' in name only. Both 'processes' too often entail misleading the voters they are supposed to be representing. The United States was founded not as a democracy but as a republic and its history has been a constant tug of war between republicans and anti-republicans, whether they be monarchists or so-called democrats, or socialists or communists. I daresay only a very small minority of Congress actually pursue anything close to a true republican 'process.'
