All you need to do is to search "will" and "God" in the bible and you get to know what it is. And Prov 14:7 has sound advice.
@NewbieMAGA Under your interpretation of the will of God His judgments against sinners are always unjust because they cannot know what He would have them do. "He has shown thee, oh man, what is good, and what does the Lord require of thee but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
@NewbieMAGA It seems to me that I can take God at His word. He said what His will is. It is absolute hubris to think He lied.
@NewbieMAGA When the bishop acts in accordance with the revealed will of God, then we can say he's doing God's will. When anyone, especially clergy, act in opposition to the revealed will of God we know they are opposing Him. The revelation is call the Bible.
@NewbieMAGA The Bible contains that much of God's knowledge and His will that he felt was adequate to reveal for humans to be saved and freed from the bondage to sin and death. If someone is acting in accord with that revealed will, as opposed to speculating on the part of His will that He has not revealed, then we can know that one is acting according to God's will. If someone acts against that revealed will then we know that person is acting against the will of God, even if they speculate that God has some other will. To use the argument that the Bible is not comprehensive to justify violating Biblical advice is disingenuous and false logic.
