French Prez Macron Demands Musk’s Twitter Comply with European Regulations’ on Speech
“American Exceptionalism,” that much maligned term, which, according to Obama, is no different from British exceptionalism for a Brit, or Greek exceptionalism for a Greek, has shown itself to not only be a real thing, it’s pretty much the only thing. Thank Elon Musk for making that the centerpiece of the current political discussion.
The Western so-called democracies all pay lip service to free speech—“See; it’s enshrined here in our Declaration of Human Rights”—subject, of course, to necessary restrictions for national security, territorial integrity, prevention of crime and disorder, health or morals, and making sure no one offends a trans person.
Only in America has free speech never been granted by our government. Actually, a quick reading of our Bill of Rights will show not a single right being granted by a benevolent government. That’s because governments can’t give what is already ours—they can only try to take them away. Hence, the extraordinary genius of the founding fathers and their signature phrases: Congress shall make no law…; the rights of the people… shall not be abridged…
All would-be dictators the world over hate the Bill of Rights, and with their willing Quislings in the Democratic Party, want nothing more than to normalize the notion that our foundational document “isn’t absolute.”
Yes it is. “…shall make no law…” contains no wiggle room, and that’s the reason our Constitutional republic hasn’t degenerated into the authoritarian nightmare that typifies the stumbling behemoth on our northern border, or the EU, governments that never really shook their dictatorial roots, because their notion of rights never included the term “inalienable.”
Elon Musk gets it. That’s why they want to get him.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Macrons demands (and don't forget the CCP) point out the reason US Gov't officials are trying to find ways to regulate the WWW as it is truly THE universal / global conduit for information (news) data and simply brings networking capability within reach of literally every person who has access to it.
I believe and fear that the regime now in the seat of US Gov't will all too willingly and compliantly sell out the US Constitutional Bill of Rights in order to "join the global community for the benefit of peace and equality for all the worlds people"...I mean its just unfair and racist that Americans have access to those liberties while people of other nations do not...right?
So, in true Socialistic and Communist form they will find it necessary to serve the greater good by bringing the USA down to a global standard of privation.
