2301080300Su WHY ISN’T GAIN-OF-FUNCTION A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY?
It’s my understanding that Congress expressly prohibited gain-of-function research from being done in America. Mistakenly presuming that if it couldn’t be done in America our government would be honorable enough to not use a loophole by doing it in other countries – America not being a socialist state as yet, or so it was thought.
The question presents itself as to actually rules here in America, the people threw their elected representatives in Congress or a Deep State of elitist government employees?
I postulate that gain-of-function experimentation is a crime against humanity in that it is the development of biological weapons of mass destruction. I for one have a great deal of trouble believing that United States citizens have any desire at all for their tax dollars used to haphazardly development biological weapons of mass destruction – we already pay exorbitantly for enough weaponry without searching for biological ones.
Or is it like democrat electioneering were whatever you can get away with must be appropriate to do? Oh, wait, that’s the way socialist states operates such as Nazi Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic.
While this United States IS NOT socialist it is a Republic, or at least it was established to be a Republic – not a democracy.
PS. Seems to me that we invaded Iraq over the mistaken notion they possessed WMD’s (Weapons of Mass Destruction) – and we’re developing them in obscure places around the would with tax payers money against the wishes of Congress – is that how this story goes? Was/is this development being authorized by a Deep State of Elitists as we were warned of by Bishop Sheen 50 years ago?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.You have to wonder about the logic or rationale behind gain of function research. It amounts to deliberately trying to convert a pathogen that is relatively harmless (for one reason or another) into a more easily transmitted or more dangerous and destructive version. But to what purpose? Shouldn’t the effort, instead, be to diminish function?
