I myself believe that earth is an interstellar spacecraft that malfunctioned and had to be placed in orbit around the Sun. Humans where created to live on the surface of the craft to provide food for the interstellar travelers that have become known as gods and reside inside the earth. If it looks like we mite destroy the craft/planet the gods send a disaster to put us back in our place flood, famine or earthquake. We are just gardeners for our overlords while they wait for rescue as to when they get here is a mute point because they are already here.
