It's a trap. In using the power/oppression "theory"--even as a tool against itself--is to give the "theory" credibility.

The more I think about your response, the more puzzled I become. Are you saying that questioning the usage of pronouns is manufacturing its agency as a useful tool of oppressing public discourse?
@purdyday I'm saying that the whole idea of socio-cultural interactions as necessarily and exclusively manifestations of self-perpetuating dominance hierarchies is a bullshit, un-testable, unsubstantiated "truth-claim" that is itself used to fabricate and rationalize the very claims of oppression that the gender non-duality "theory" asserts. To argue that the pronoun request is an exercise of power is to affirm the idea that every human interaction is a play for power and dominance.

The word racist that is so liberally thrown around, shares a common goal, the shutting down of any debate about the realities of how diversity has increased societal divisions, not healed them - as the big lie goes!
To not examine why these attempts are being made, to control the narrative, is to ignore the clear and present danger of the globalist war being waged.

I don't disagree that there is a power play at work, and have no problem with pointing it out. What I take issue with is that by making it ONLY a power play, defending against it by theorizing yet anther power play, perpetuates and further embeds the underlying privilege theory into culture.
We've got to find ways to dismantle this applied oppression theory besides using it in self defense. It needs to be trashed entirely rather than just turned back on itself.
