Although any shop not selling products made in China would be pretty empty ATM (I imagine), hit them where it hurts the most and stimulate hurtiing western economies by bringing manufacturing back en masse while the PITA this has all been is fresh in everyone's mind

What's the point? Manufacturing is so automated that it wouldn't add a meaningful number of jobs.

Well somebody needs to build and maintain all that automation.
@Header correct. I was just responding to the claim there is no point to move production of manufactured goods out of despot countries like China back to western countries. Of course there would be multiple benefits, not only for a (mich needed) boost for western economies but also to radically reduce our dependence on all products at the whim of govt regimes that don't line up with western values.
