If we're all so outraged at the censorship of FB, Twitter, and YouTube, why hasn't the right made their own platforms? It's like we're trying to play nice inside the Matrix and get confused/angry when the turn the tables. What is practically being done?

I've been using my Minds channel to recruit others to IDW, and have been somewhat successful in that. We have to let everyone we know that such a site as this one exists. Regarding the echo chamber part, gradually that's changing as more left-leaning individuals have made their way here.

@jurassicjoy, the problem is that once you have a really well developed wheel, it's not worth reinventing one and dividing the platform.
It HAS to be financially viable or it won't work. My idea is to up the ante on them. I'm waiting for Admin to take some time to talk, I know he's busy.

FB, Google, etc. make their money by monitoring and monetizing user behavior. That's what pays for their vast server farms. Alternate sites exist, but they they don't have the cash flow to field competing server farms.

Yes. I agree. So how do we take this haven, spread the word, and use it as a catalyst for unification?
What I'd hate to see is sites like this becoming a conservative exho-chamber, where we can sit and pontificate without actually having to do anything or make change happen.
@dd54 it's not specific to conservatives. Ask echo chambers are dangerous. They allow for the stagnation of thought and make way for group-think
