With all the turmoil in the world, it is more important than ever to RECEIVE a word from God.
“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” — James 1:22 NASB1995

James is seen by many to teach a different gospel, but God’s word never contradicts itself. The contradiction is in our misinterpretation of His word.
For a wise (and à propos) word from Paul, try reading and applying the following:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:6-8 NASB1995

Good point! Although this phrase isn’t in the Bible, the concept has some biblical support. When God tells us how to proceed in light of a difficult situation, we must act on His guidance. He very seldom just does it for us. Even though He paid our penalty for our sin, we must appropriate His Gift of reconciliation and choose Him over ourselves.
