[sic] Upholding the idea that there are always right and wrong answers perpetuate[s] objectivity as well as fear of open conflict.” Which is, of course, a profoundly silly take.
And that's ethnomathematics in a nutshell. That truth is not what we empirically determine to be the truth, but what we collectively agree to be true.
In others words, if Galileo has empirical evidence that the solar system follows a heliocentric model, but the majority believe that the Earth is the center of the solar system, well then by golly, Galileo had better sit his racist ass down and ponder on his white supremacy.
