I have a family history with the Confederate States of America. At least 3 of my great great grandfathers fought in the Confederate Army. Two served in South Carolina units, and one with the Texas 35th Calvary Regiment under General George Bell Hood. I am very proud of that heritage, and do not follow the standard tripe that is taught about the War of Northern Aggression. Lincoln was a despot, and war criminal as well as most his staff, especially those he trusted within the United States Army.
I have read a bit of Seabrooks work. It is well worth the read. I learned a great deal about Nathan Bedford Forest, and the histories of the Klan which he was a part of during the reconstruction period, and which he had disbanded after only 3 years, and the modern Klan which was started up in 1913 under Woodrow Wilson and is the Klan we know today. There is no connection in the intent and ideology of these two groups.
I have not seen this movie yet but will be ordering a copy as soon as I can. I would recommend it as a good veiw, and some real history of those times.

Special features on the DVD have relatives of Newton Knight telling more information passed down through the family. If you haven't seen it, you ought to.
