Personally I don't care for Carlson. I do agree that the monopoly Google has created should be broken up just like they did with Ma Bell way back when Iw as a kid. The changes that took place once that monopoly was broken hit like a tidal wave. Had Ma Bell not been stopped from having their total control we might still be using rotary phones, and land lines. Pacific Power has a monopoly on electric power service in Oregon and other northwest states. With no competition they do what ever the hell they want. FOr years I had to get in verbal confrontations at the beginning of every summer because my electric bill would suddenly go through the roof. When I called to complain they would tell me it was because I didn't realize how much power my air conditioner used. I did not use AC then. They got homes so you could only have electric heat unless you could afford having propane put in. It's terrible. In Texas there was multiple services to choose from and we had very low electric bills even with the use of AC in the summer.

That said Carlson says something here that I don't think was unintentional. I think he chooses his words carefully. He makes himself an apologist for corrupt politicians when he claims they are not philosophers, it's not their job. Their job is to get elected. That is NOT a politicians job. Their job is to protect the rights of citizens by protecting the Constitution at the very basic level. None of them do.

I also think making the claim if Trump does not do what Carlson says NOW there will never be another republican president elected. That is just hyperbole the same as was tossed around about how we just had to elect McCain, then Romney because O-bomb-a would totally destroy the country. He did enough damage but he did not TOTALLY destroy the country, and even if the GOP hacks had been elected we would not be any better off than what we got with O-bomb-a.

Trump is an anomaly. During the primaries he had half the GOP fighting alongside the democrats to keep him from being the candidate. Same thing during his campaign. After this we will still have republicans elected. It will go back to the same old two terms with a democrat, a couple of terms with a republican and back and forth because the people will feel "safe" that way. The problem is we will be getting republicans like McCain, and Romney.

McCain saved his own ass in his Vietnam prison by giving information to the North Vietnamese that got Lord only knows how many of his fellow American killed. Romney ditched his service because he and his dad felt he was too "special", that he would best serve his country serving himself. He made his fortune by taking over American companies, firing all their employees then tearing the company apart and selling it off to foreign interests. He put MILLIONS of Americans out of work. As a governor he co-wrote, and signed into the law the most Draconian anti Second Amendment legislation up to that point in time. Yet he ran for president promising to protect American workers, and joined the NRA to pretend he wanted to protect our rights to weapons. The only gun he ever held belonged to his son, but he claimed it was his. Liars and traitors is what the GOP really wants us to vote for.

We will get more republican presidents, just along the lines of traitors and money mongers. The GOP will have stricter controls of their party after this, and won't have anything to do with Google, will be the GOP doing the same thing they did to keep Ron Paul from being their candidate in 2008, and 2012, and from being our president. Trump just had more resources to fight them, and a scrappier means of fighting than Ron Paul did.
