Constantinople was so impressed with the threat of Islam as to commit every resource he could inspire to defeat them. He wasn't dealing with as dangerous an adversary as we: political correctness.

@TimTuolomne When you believe someones bullshit w/o any proof to back it, you take their line of shit and profess it as "Gospel Truth" you are a religious fanatic, thus the terminology fits, cult could be used in its place I suppose.
@808scotty. Good point Scotty. I call it a philosophy, because there is absolutely no power in any other "religion" except Christianity which has a trans-dimensional savior like Christ. There is no other. Those who think they are equivalent have missed something.
@TimTuolomne Lived in many countries as I grew up, every one had their own version of religion, the one common denominator was that they professed that they were the one true religion, and the only pathway to god. At the same time a good number of them were thieves, misogynists, or incorrigibles. So my take on it is that if 99 out of 100 are wrong, then the probability of any of them being correct is zero. Your either a good neighbor or a piece of shit, doesn't matter what etherical beliefs you garner.

@TimTuolomne I am glad you find solace in that context, and more power to you, but the importance of the "good neighbor policy" is how I qualify and quantify people, facts speak louder than words, actions are the source of good and evil. I refuse to accept the idea that a person who devoted their life to helping others would be rejected from "Heaven" because the followed the "wrong path".
