Did you know that the Roman Catholic Church does not recognize international borders - never has and never will. According to the teachings of the Christ there is but one global family of mankind. That is foundational to the Christian milieu.

Christians have a relationship with God that has nothing to do with human institutions, countries nor borders. Christianity is not a political movement, except to those who fear Christians. And as the current call in the New Testament to Christians to love every human as Christ loves them, fearing them makes no sense. So whether or not any agency, such as the Catholic Church, a human institution, makes any pronouncements about borders is irrelevant.
And the Chinese make no distinction between Christians and Muslims, even though Christians each have a relationship with God, and each Muslim has a relationship with Allah, which is probably Satan. Their current call in the Hadith is to lie (Taqiyya) and displace or kill every non-Muslim (9-5, as many other places).
