@TimTuolomne, That's a fair question by @Edgework, the world is different now, we see decisions in real time. It's not Monday Morning Quarterbacking, it's the Superbowl and everyone has a microphone yelling at the whole team.

Fauci is definitely informed and seems fairly well grounded to me, but is definitely on the doom and gloom end of the spectrum.

I suppose it's quite a dilemma, you don't want to aim too low or you look like you don't know what's going on. What take is most useful?

The problem I see is that there is no way for anyone to admit they are wrong without someone saying publicly they should be fired.

@torontogal4388 Well said Toronto Gal! Easy to throw rocks, when the outcome is as unknown to us as it is to those in charge.

I have had moments in responsibility, when I was aware of things others were not, instead of realizing that, critics threw rocks, only to be proved mistaken later.

Perhaps more so questioning than criticizing.
Yes, those in control, especially in times when the rule of core freedoms are suspended, should be questioned because the consequences of their decisions are so life altering and pervasive.
In the US, why would one not question it?

@Halligan, Yes, that is the privilege of our Representative Republic. And privilege comes with responsibility. So vicious condemnation is not that.

@Halligan Being ever vigilant is our responsibility and should never be shirked. Only when the dust settles will we possibly have all the info necessary to make informed decisions, or be able to determine errors made requiring correction. No active command ever places all the cards on the table while the "war" rages.

@TimTuolomne Are we discussing the meme shown above? If so, I see no vicious condemnation. I see a criticism and more likely a concern about the current situation we find ourselves in.
