I can't see a war helping heal tensions in America. The divide would probably grow wider as pro and anti war groups would form. The war would also cause huge amounts of death in both sides. China would probably begin with a massive cyber attack on the USA and cause chaos with out firing a shot.

There is a very serious strategic problem in the idea of War with China.
China does not have much of a navy - they really cannot exert or project their military power (in the traditional sense) in CONUS EXCEPT for use of ICBMs.
I believe the Chinese have a few subs capable of launching missiles - not nearly as many as we have in USA/Nato...but it only takes a few atomic bombs to kill millions of people.
A war with China would almost certainly be fought with long range missiles and not so much on the ground in battlefield combat.
Then there is the cyber capabilities to think about. I don't think it would be very difficult for the Chinese to use cyber attacks to shut down our power grid...no power grid, no real ability to wage war.
War with China would mean the deaths of millions if not billions on both sides...I don't like the thought of that...do you?

Clearly we are already at war with China, so far they have won our media, our institutions of higher learning, and have clearly purchased our democratic party and house of representatives to wage a win at all costs war against the only president to stand up to them since Reagan. if things don't go well in November the official declaration of Chinese victory will be when Joe Biden Allows the Yuan to replace the dollar as the official world trading currency. at which point the Federal reserve will be made nothing but a useless printing press and we will have to survive only on what we produce within our borders.

we pay our debts in dollars, we also simply print them as we see fit. the moment this ceases to be so and we have to purchase another currency to pay our debts with America will collapse... they are so close.

We are already too divided - you'll just have pro & anti Chinese Americans. Lol if we can't find common ground on masks, BLM, the impeachment trials, Epstein, taxes, anything it seems like then why would a war with China help? People get mad when you even say this plandemic started in Wuhan which is just fact. Lol back to the drawing board!

We are in a civil war now. Instead of guns the weapons are censorship, deplatforming, and cancellation of people's lives. At the moment it's a lil sides war as the left seems to have most of the weapons. Even if you are a victim in the current war it still isn't as bad as a shooting war Civil or foreign.

I think the divisions that exist now are much stronger and deeper than at 9/11. And I don't think there would be as much 'coming together' as might be appropriate.

Really depends on how it starts. But I agree with Jester, it is likely to explode fast.
