I am not religious, but please do not under any circumstance accept any ban around group singing, like in church. It's perceived as the rising of your soul or something. Which is fine, it's great. The evolutionary function of group singing is to build communities, and a form of human bonding. Any song will do. This is the easiest technique for you to connect and experience your spiritual side on command. There are very few ways to do that from zero, as in trying to prove people there's a part of them they don't know beyond the mundane. Not as in "God," but as in emotions that alter your hierarchy of values. That's why atheistic regimes go around destroying the believers. They can't understand, not even realize there's something more important than money and power, and they HATE the feeling of them being ignorant of something, let alone not in control of it. Just imagine the difference between you, and you growing up without ever knowing about love, spirituality, emotions at all. Imagine what would it be like not knowing anything about it. Feel free to share what you see. I would be very interested to know.

Yeah, I know. if I was there, I would try to organize any groups to do stuff like this. With no religion connotations as a fun unimportant activity. It's a good way to preserve the human connection and to help others feel it without putting yourself in any type of danger because, who would be against group singing? I wish i was there to help... I hope somebody feels motivated to do stuff like that.
