Robin Diangelos book "White Fragility", (I read 1/2), was my introduction to critical race theory. After Floyd died, I saw the book being promoted online. I couldn't understand why people were praising the book so heavily. It comes off more like projection than grounded in fact. The only "eureka" moment for me was when I found critical race theory and was able to make the connection.

This review is gold.
Robin reduces "all thinking to a series of binary choices". I only read 1/2 of this book because because I found it to be skewed and biased, not because it wasn't a 4th grade reading level. Matt's article is pretty much exactly how I felt. Especially "why?" Why is this book so highly praised?

Really good article and links. When I first read "White Fragility", it was extremely hard to find anything that questioned it. I had to go as far as use a different search engine, other than google, to find anything.

This is the kind of rationality that infects the intellectual mind. I think it’s must be an infection or inflammation that cause revolving stupidity. Amazing that people actually buy this crap.
As long as the letters PhD appear behind the name your should just understand that nothing in it is essential to life and usually it’s like trying to read a foreign language.
