I had to turn off Scott Adams today. He accused Trump of killing 50,000 Americans by not promoting masks and social distancing. He went on to say Trump does not deserve to be reelected based on failure to have a health plan. Looking at the Japanese experience he is probably right.

My guess is that Adams is trying to be an influencer. He wants health care to be a top priority. The problem is that the reason hardly anyone died in Japan and the death toll in the U.S. was horrendous has little to do with leadership or influence. The Japanese people didn't need a leader other than to completely shut their borders which they still are doing. The Japanese wore masks and social distanced on their own volition. Nobody told the Japanese to use ventilation, exercise, maintain their vitamin D3 levels, avoid diabetes, consume alcohol modestly, appreciate personal space, be polite and not shout, stop immigration, avoid obesity and heart disease, it was already part of their culture. From the point of view of the virus Westerners are dirty, fat, lazy, and uncouth. Exactly why we can't have public health care in the West.

Adams has become consumed by the Yin, the emotion driven logic that has consumed Western minds. The outsourcing of responsibility tied to the ironic phrase emotional intelligence. He clearly does not understand the science and his idea of reality being a simulation is the Yin's preference for drama over non fiction.

What everyone needs to understand is princesses like Adams do not suffer the consequences of their policies. They are protected by the unearned privilege of social economic status. The poor and stupid will be just as sick with universal healthcare because they are the architects of their own misery. No amount of smothering nanny state is going to turn them into functioning adults.
