First man identified. His name has not been released yet.
Drove in morning on first day on his job. He rang police while stuck in the car. Electric windows failed. A bloke from Pakistan who didn't know not to drive into floods... they dunno why he drove in. The electrics failed in the car and he was on the phone to the cops for sometime before he died. He described the water rising as he talked. The vehicle was found 6 metres under water. He drove past a road sign saying road closed. It was a hire car he was not familiar with the car. He tried to escape but could not. There was extensively damage to inside of the car shows he tried hard to get out but he didn't manage to break the window. It was in the hills North West of Sydney.
