Public employees tend to vote Democrat because Democrats advocate maximizing the number of public employees. When Democrats pay a public employee, it's equivalent to a vote bribe.

For decades, Democrat cities racked up debt, and that money went to pensions for public employees.
That money was stolen from taxpayers and the taxpayers should take the money back. Reparations!

The Democrat scam only ends when a Democrat city goes bankrupt and they can no longer pay public employees. Pensions are gone.

On Newt's World, Newt has an episode that features Adam Andrzejewski, founder of the Open Books Foundation, that publishes the salaries of public employees. It's full of horrors.

The episode is full of stories of wasteful government spending.

Yep, that's why all those public employee police forces with their giant pensions are nothing but leftist Democrats! Uh huh.

As to the theory of Democrats never working on the private sector... well when one does, such as AOC, you attack them for it. When a Republican never worked a day in their life, like Trump or Gaetz, you praise them for it.

Police Unions are indeed Democrat and a lot of their members will vote Democrat. Uh huh.

I don't think AOC was ever attacked for working in the private sector. She was attacked for moving out of her pay grade when she was elected.

Trump never worked a day in his life - Bwahahahahaha.

@FrankZeleniuk clearly you missed the sarcasm, since no, police unions are heavily right-wing and Republican. In any case, sounds like it is Newt (or Jay) who wants to defund the police.

What do you mean "moving out of her pay grade"? I thought people should be commended for "pulling themselves up by their bootstraps" and getting better paying jobs? Despite her degrees and qualifications, AOC is constantly attacked as "just a bartender" and people make jabs at her to "go make me a drink". Despite graduating cum laude from Boston University with degrees in international relations and economics, and placing second in microbiology at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, people constantly dismiss her as only ever being a lowly service worker who should never have aspired to be anything more.

I wonder which members of Congress you support? Do you support Lauren Boebert, the restaurant owner who operated without a license and caused 80 cases of food poisoning, married a man who exposed himself to minors, and just recently got her GED? Do you support Marjorie Taylor Greene, who inherited her father's contracting business and then opened a CrossFit gym? Do you support Matt Gaetz, who never worked a day in his life due to his rich father, who also got him out of DUI charges, and is apparently a pedophile and sex trafficker?

And yes, Trump never worked a day in his life. That is true.

@JacksonNought

Earlier this year, House Democrats were close to pushing through a bill that would have cemented the power of police unions across the country. For a pro-labor party, the bill, which gave police officers the federal right to collectively bargain on working conditions, appeared to be a no-brainer. Nearly every Democrat in the House co-signed the legislation, H.R. 1154 (116), including members of the Squad, a group of progressive superstars that includes Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib.

The Democrats have supported public-sector unions for generations — often fighting with Republican state officials who’ve worked to gut the memberships of public employee unions and limit bargaining abilities.

  • Politico

Granted defunding the police is not popular with the Unions and is adversely affecting their relationship.

And yes, Trump never worked a day in his life.

I guess I have to ask the inevitable - What do you think work is?

Because you already have money doesn't mean nothing you do is work.

Lauren Boebert and MTG at least have some understanding of the American Constitution and put America first. Unlike a lot of Democrats these days wishing to fundamentally transform the country into..oh...I don't know...Cuba? Venezuela?

As far as Gaetz goes...apparently a pedophile and a sex trafficker. don't tell me you are incensed. You are shocked to your moral core. It would mean nothing to you if he were a democrat. But "apparently" being one is not the sae as being one. It's almost news.

@FrankZeleniuk Democrats support unions. Okay. Does that change the fact that American police officers are majorly right-wing and Republican?

Trump was born into wealth and had everything handed to him. It has been reported that he was a terrible student and had terrible grades, but had his college success bought for him. He fought endlessly to keep his college records sealed to avoid having this proven... which is funny considering how he rose to prominence in Conservative circles by trying to get Obama's records. He was given a "small loan" of 60 million dollars from his dad to make it on his own, and his dad laundered money through his casinos to continue and enwealthen him. He filed for bankruptcy multiple times to avoid paying debts, and is famous for screwing over contractors and refusing to pay his contracts, instead getting high powered lawyers to bully people. He avoided the draft by faking bone spurs. He constantly complained about the presidency and avoided doing actual work, golfing more than any other president in history. He spent most of his presidency watching TV and drinking coke, and holding ego-stroking rallies instead of actually working.

Boebert and Greene know nothing about the American Constitution. Greene claimed that certain members of Congress were illegitimate because they swore in on the Quran, not the Bible - that is a fundamental ignorance of the Constitution. You also didn't actually address the issue at hand. Go ahead and attack AOC's policies and politics all you want, but you are changing the subject on the "just a bartender" attacks. You can support Boebert and Greene's policies if you want, go ahead, but you still aren't addressing the hypocrisy of supporting their qualification for moving into office and attacking AOC for being no better than a bartender.

It's also funny that Marjorie Taylor Greene is touring the country with Matt Gaetz right now, her partner in crime. She supports QAnon conspiracies, and is quick to claim there is a video of Hillary Clinton peeling off and eating a baby's face, with literally no evidence. She supports Pizzagate, again with zero evidence. Yet Gaetz has a mountain of evidence accusing him of being a pedophile and sex trafficker, and she just ignores it.

@JacksonNought

Democrats support unions. Okay. Does that change the fact that American police officers are majorly right-wing and Republican?

So admittedly, police Unions are Democrat. How majorly are police officers right-wing? Is that a response to "Defund the police" ? How could they be democrat under that threat?

Boebert and Greene maybe know nothing about the Constitution, I don't think that, what they do know is better than AOC's proposal to fundamentally transform America into Venezuela.

Pizzagate is just a Democrat created rabbit hole that is attempting to throw the scent off real Democrat perversion and criminality, a la Epstein, the Royal family and the Clintons.

Where do you think this is all heading toward? Ask Wily. He thinks he will be more equal than everyone else in the future but unfortunately, like him, you will have served your purpose to the elites and be, like everyone else, that is "own nothing and be happy".

@FrankZeleniuk no. Admittedly the police force are extremely right-wing. You can even see it in how they responded to left-wing vs right-wing protests over the summer, and even as recently as last week. At a protest last week in LA, a very liberal city, the police kettled left-wing protesters and even shot them point blank, while at the same time letting right-wing groups like the proud boys walk around free with bats and assault people. Unions are a strong topic of right-wing ire when it comes to work unions or teachers unions - but when it is police unions, the right-wingers defend them to their last breath.

You think Greene knows the Constitution? Then explain her thinking the Bible is required to swear into office. You think Boebert knows the Constitution? Then explain why she doesn't know what an amendment is. In any case, you still haven't addressed the original premise. You may think Boebert and Greene have better policies than AOC, that is your right. Hell, you may think a homeless meth addict down the road has better policies than AOC. That doesn't explain the attacks on her for being a bartender, or your assertion that she moved out of her "pay grade" as if that is a bad thing.

No, Pizzagate was the creation of Alex Jones and Mike Cernovich to try and hurt Hillary and get Trump elected. To label it "Democrat perversion and criminality" is playing right into their hands. The royal family are not Democrats, they are not American. They are right-wing and Conservative if anything, being literal monarchs clinging to arbitrary power. Gaetz is a child trafficking pedophile. Trump admitted to being a pedophile, and was good friends with Epstein. Trump and Republicans defended Roy Moore who was a known pedophile. The extremely Conservative Catholic Church was (and still is) involved in the biggest child abuse pedophile scandal and coverup in history. American Conservative Christians defend child brides. This is all nothing more than an attempt to grab power for the right and attack the left. If you think only the left is engaged in this perversion, you are blind.

@JacksonNought

Gosh, reading your posts I feel like you are living in Bizarro world.

I wouldn't argue the police are not leaning increasingly to the right with all the anti-police rhetoric coming from the left of late. Their conundrum is that when they arrest rioters...er..."peaceful protestors" that are looting and pillaging, people like Kamalaf Harris are encouraging go-fund-me sites to be established to bail them out and George Soros funded prosecutors are dropping all charges against the rioters. Most often though police have been told to stand down in the Portland and Seattle riots as well as in Minneapolis. No one is sitting in jail from last summers rioting that I know of.

I haven't read too much about last weeks protests in LA but I have heard that the police didn't allow for any opportunity to loot and pillage. Proud Boys wouldn't be looting and pillaging would they?

Pizzagate was a response to John Podesta's e-mails being made public by Wikileaks and of course a distraction had to be created to minimize the negative impact on the election. Thus, a storm of disinformation was released as a distraction. Certainly, Alex Jones gobbled up all the ludicrous symbolism and forwarded it, like the good little monkey he is, as a conspiracy. There is no question that there is a sex trade and pedophile trafficking and perhaps Epstein had his own little sex ring going but it is all conjecture at the moment. I don't think of this perversion as being a left or right thing. You can bet that Gaetz is the subject of a smear job and nothing will come of it.
How about (haha) looking into the shenanigans of congressman Swallwell? Caught sleeping with a Chinese spy and holding his position on the Intel committee. Sheesh!

Although I think Queen Elizabeth appears non-partisan she has, in the past, showed preference for a liberal or Labor party leader over a Tory or conservative leader. Her son, Charles is as left wing as you can get and great proponent of the environmental movement and Great reset.

As to Greene and Boebert, I believe they were both business owners and managed them. so I think they have a little understanding of organizing, managing and the effect on business of government regulation. The best AOC could do with her degrees was get a job as a cocktail waitress. She is the accidental congresswoman. She was only elected when the incumbent Democrat felt there was no contest and didn't bother to campaign.

Cities racked up debt (the business term is "derisking" ) because they were starved and privatized by neoliberal policies that took off in a racist fit against desegregation and the civil rights movement. The government failed to regulate and insure public pensions when they did private ones. And by suppressing wages through interest rates and inflating assets (but not financing things of public value) the economy shifted from manufacturing to asset accumulation. Rents, foreign exploitation, and domestic social control. This political economy self-perpetuates. Only expanding the public sector can help turn the tide.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah-Blahblah-Blah.....

@FrankZeleniuk You know I'm right.

@WilyRickWiles I have no clue what you said. It is just a bunch of gibberish.

@FrankZeleniuk Feel free to consult a dictionary.

@WilyRickWiles How will that help when you make up your own definitions? I don't think there would be anyone that could cypher what you are trying to say. Cities racking up debt is not "derisking" and everything to you is a racist fit.

@FrankZeleniuk This one too: [journals.sagepub.com]

@WilyRickWiles So what is it that you are trying to point out to me? That in the future, "you will own nothing and you will be happy". Gee - what could be more diverse, inclusive and equitable - everyone is the same. Black/White, men/women Sane/Insane everyone's the same. Those pointing out differences though must be eliminated. That's your destiny. Yes, you will will be treated like the insurrectionists of Jan 6. Unless you can bring yourself to consider all are equal. Right now you are a useful tool to highlight all the inequalities, the oppressors and the victims. But soon you will be seen as outside equitable outcomes for all. You are not one of the anointed you are a means of destruction. You too will either bend to the will of those in charge and "own nothing and be happy" or you will have to be done away with, I'm afraid. No one as strong-willed as yourself can be tolerated in an equal society.

You seem to have a fixation on "asset accumulation". As if no one knows that's what's going on.
Government's are, with the aid of central banks, creating an asset class and the rest of us will own nothing and be happy.

Thanks for the references.

@FrankZeleniuk What I'm pointing out is that it is YOU who have embraced the "own nothing and be happy" economy. It is you who thinks you are anointed by your own cut of the asset pie and that the larger rent-seekers will never come for you (though perhaps that his true depending on your life expectancy, wealth, and health). In fact, you want to double down. And you are in denial in thinking that the growing prosperity of the asset class is a means of equality--it is in fact the height of power/wealth inequality and it is ushering in a new feudalism. You welcome it by pointing your finger at public sector employees--the only base from which to push back--rather than privatizers. Good luck seeking Peter Thiel's patronage.

@WilyRickWiles I don't support that. It is where you are helping lead us though. I am not intent on destroying the current social structure based in meritocracy. It is you who don't like it and wish to bring revolutionary change along with the current left-wing leadership.

The correct sources of revolutionary change are your leaders. I simply resist that change and wish for more of a revisionist restoration of freedom from the social engineers with their ultimate goal of ensuring the masses own nothing yet will be happy. I wish a more self-determined existence for myself and others. Something that would be frowned upon once the the central authority you desire is established. Your usefulness to them means a certain future targeting. All will have reached equity and you will be seen as a problem.

@FrankZeleniuk I get it. Your generation has held political power your entire adult life. It's scary to think of what younger (middle aged) people might do with the institutions you wrecked after getting their hands them, especially as you approach your years of increasing dependence on them.

@FrankZeleniuk The problem is that your politics empowers them. There is no path to even your dream that doesn't involve redistribution and the building of a power base to demand it.

@WilyRickWiles True. We did, in our reckless abandon to deliver a more secure future for our youth, try and take all risk out of their lives, we lost sight of liberty. Leaving them to have their essentials provided to them by the state. Public education with meals, public healthcare, welfare, a safety social net. Our reward is, it is not enough!
There must be free university. A more equitable redistribution of wealth. More responsibility for producers to provide to the less able. Money in the future will be tokens, probably cancellable annually and become simply a method of account. Void of any other of the characteristics that are generally ascribed to it and make it what it is. It will not be a store of value. It will not be a medium of exchange but more a state sanctioned license to exist since your worth to the State will be the determining factor in your continued struggle for your ration as the economy becomes an anemic parody of itself.

In that, I agree, we were soft and coddled our youth. America was perhaps the most reluctant to pursue this path and held tenuously to the ideal of individual freedom. It is freedom which is sacrificed to this dependency upon the State.

The State crept upon us amidst increasing behavioral modification and social engineering. Some warned us of the growing industrial-military complex but corruption, always present was, instead of being held to account, allowed to flourish.

The government in order to prevent disclosure of its misdeeds has no choice now but to bring everyone under its thumb, for corruption and deception at the top has reached a global level. National sovereignty will be abrogated and a new global tyranny established in the name of diversity, equity and inclusion. It is simply just a redistribution of wealth that will end in the masses owning nothing and being happy - if they manage to live. The bread lines will form and affordable housing will become an oxymoron. Yes, asset accumulation is occurring and many, like yourself, are contributing to that motion. When money loses its symbolic representation of wealth which is all that is left of it today, the masses will be left with owning nothing and forced to be happy.

@FrankZeleniuk That's an alternate reality. We have cut and privatized for decades and decades. You only tried to remove risk through overpolicing and asset inflation.

@WilyRickWiles Which is why Trump had to bring back all those corporations that abandoned America?

@FrankZeleniuk What? You mean the dog and pony shows he did? Not sure what you're getting at, regardless.

1

In a meritocracy, you can advance by merit. In an anti-meritocracy, the only way to advance is by treachery and cronyship. This creates a world heavy in corruption and political purges.

1st rate people hire 1st rate people.

2nd rate people hire 3rd rate people.

3rd rate people hire 5th rate people.

If there is no way for the meritorious to advance, society falls into a dark age.

IMHO the Peter Principle applies in Gov't more so than in the private sector:

Here it is - The Peter Principle

The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective incompetence.

Who is there to hire in an asset economy except servants and foreign laborers?

2

Public employees tend to vote Democrat because Democrats advocate maximizing the number of public employees.

Disagree. Public employees tend to vote Democrat because the majority of them got jobs with the government straight out of high school and never had to work a job in the private sector. Most have never had jobs that didn't have built-in benefit packages, sick leave, annual leave, paid holidays, pensions (or 401K contributions), and guaranteed pay raises based on years of service with regular COLA increases. Most have no idea what it's like to fight for a raise, or fear losing their job due to poor performance, layoffs, or having their company bought out.

That's why they vote Democrat: because they've never NOT been taken care of by their employer so they really have no idea what the average worker in the private sector has to deal with.

Well said sir ! The mayor in the town i moved from has been mayor for over 16yrs, he just recently had a lovely trip to Chy nah with a (carefully selected) few other dignitaries , he brought back a full blown plan to bring a company that might have had a devastating effect on the town he is supposed to represent had it been brought to fruition, if anyone has ever watched the documentary American Factory, it was like that. Luckily for the residents of the town there are quite a few folks of note living in town who collectively raised loud voices of protest and together with the residents of the little town who love the place fought like mad against the machine and had the whole unholy plan scuppered so shows it can be done, however my point is this how could this mayor even contemplate sabotaging the town like that? 16 years the townspeople paid him to make good decisions for them. Huh ! some people live the fat cat life too long in politics

@scrabo22

Cool story. Can you tell us more?

@scrabo22 Amazon has been doing the same thing. People and places are just assets to be maximized for value (or minimized for cost) in our economy. We all pray that we stay on the right side of that dynamic, but eventually the value squeezing will run out of things to privatize and workers and servants to exploit and come for us.

Or we could expand the public sector and create a base to fight back.

Yes. Public sector Unions have fought for the Union member benefits you mention and they are notoriously Democrat, so Union members are encouraged to vote Democrat. Unlike private unions that bankrupt companies with their demands the government never goes broke no matter how much Unions demand. Public employees are shielded from the boom and bust of the economic business cycle and have no sense of economics. They never lose benefits and their wages never go down. When private sector Unions bankrupted companies and industries they became unpopular and right to work became increasingly popular.
