@TimTuolomne There are plenty of details for those who choose to seek it. But I don't think you are ready to accept that, because to accept it would mean you have to find something else to believe in, and that is scary.

@TimTuolomne My shortcomings? Probably I hope that people will be curious enough and brave enough to educate themselves about the world around them and how it operates so they can either help support just rulers or prevent unjust ones from having too much power. I am often dispointed because my expectations do not match reality. Most people simply want comfort and sense of security, and even for false promises they will accept their own enslavement. Being part of general society with no special place in it, I might be aware of the problems, but I am politically powerless to change it. This leads to my frustrations at times. And that is one of my shortcomings, of having a hard time accepting that some of the people simply cannot let go of their adopted worldview, even when its wrong, because they would be forced to replace it with something else, and that is scary.

I have gone trough this process more than once, and most recently with the Trump re-eletion campaign and with whole covid tyranny. Many things I took for granted simply were not as I imagined them to be. But because its not my first time , I managed to adopt my worldview to realign it with new information available to me. Observing others around me, I can see its not easy and perhaps impossible for many.

I've observed people turn to religions such as Christianity, invent new ones like Quanon, turn to technocracy and trans-humanism or socialism and nationalism as new source of security in their mind. I have seen people try to revive the nostalgia of the past time, like yourself, and I have seen people completely lose it and commit suicides because they lose hope and feel overwhelmed. Some adopted the narrative of mask wearing, jab forcing mandates as their ticket to safer future. Off course it was a live. And some adopt the same idea of the poor innocent Ukraine vs evil Putin narrative to same effect.

I have hoped that after being exposed to lies for 2 years of non stop fear mongering about covid, people will wake up to the fact that media and institutions and politicians are not interested in telling them the truth or protecting them, but you mention Putin and boom, and so many are buying it again.

My main shortcoming must be that I expected people will be more sensible and rational and realize who their real enemies are. Instead I ended up in debate with you and similar minded individuals who are still trapped in some form of Matrix. Its quite frustrating at times. I guess I expect too much.

My mind is still trying to answer the question of; what does it take? How many times does the goverment and media needs to stab people in the back to stop turning their back to it? I am still looking for an answer to that one.

By the amount of people who jumped on the "stand with Ukraine" and "Russian Man Bad" narrative even after two years of oppression is truly frustrating. I think that is one of my shortcomings. I'm powerless to change it, so I guess I have to do much harder thing. Trying to change my mind about it.

Consider the sources of information. NYP, BBC? Same people who tell you Russian Man Bad. But is it? Did they report on regime change by the Americans there at the time, flooding the Nazi battalion with funds, weapons and training, funding the bio labs? Did the BBC and NYP reported on that at the same time? How about now?

Bottom line is that you cannot trust a single word coming from them about Russia. Because it is not true and has been debunked so many times. Question is what are others saying?

@timon_phocas No, the US funded bio labs in Ukraine are a fact, I find it hard to find you missed that one, since officially it is recognized by the US much less everyone else. At this point you have to be willfully denying it or you just woke up from coma.

And if they lied about the biolabs to you, including one in Wuhan as funded by the US for gain of function research, as they are similar labs all over world, funded by the same people. If they lied to you about that and just about everything else you can think off. Why would they be not laying about plain being shut down and blame it on the Russians. As if RussiaGate was true.

My point is that cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics you employ is very impressive, I must say.

Who gains by blaming Russia to cover up their own dirty deeds? Hmmm. Its not a million dollar question, at this point its a 2$ question.
