I’ve considered all those “arguments” and still came back to the question, “What did that baby do to deserve a death sentence? (Especially one that includes either dismemberment before death occurs or death through any of the other methods).

I used to take the coward’s way out of the argument. When my wife was 7 months pregnant with our first baby and weighed about 80lbs from throwing up everything she tried to eat for 1/2 year and the doctor said we need to perform an abortion or both will die, I said to her, “I support you fully in whatever you decide, but I don’t want to lose you”. She responded, you want me to let them kill our baby? I gave the spouted the same foolishness, “No no no, its an abortion not a baby yet and you’ll probably die if you don’t get the abortion”. Even as the lie was leaving my mouth, I knew. The look of disappointment in me on her face and the complete loss of respect for me that I had engendered forced me to wake up and stop being a coward. She said she wouldn’t do it and if she dies, she does. I supported her decision and and have looked back on my stupidity and cowardice with disgust (with myself) ever since. My wife and daughter both survived and my wife went on to have another touch and go pregnancy before I got a vasectomy. Both our daughters are amazing people who have made (and will continue to make) this world a better place as are our 8 grandchildren.

I love my sons-in-law as if they were born to me and one of them has 10 siblings. The youngest 2 were adopted, because their mom was an unmarried crack-head who couldn’t even take care of herself or stay sober. These twins have varying degrees of disabilities, but they are loved and cared for. We’re glad they didn’t receive a death sentence for the crime of being inconvenient.

I was evil for even considering such an idea and even more so for encouraging my wife to consider the thought, but I’m glad I got a chance to live and not be killed for what a worthless human being I was. I hope I’ve done some good since then too. By the way, ALL life is sacred; what we do with that life is what defiles it.

I was thinking more of the doctors as techno-priests offerings to Moloch.

@Weltansicht Have you researched birth control? Not much research has been done(no money in it) for safe on women's health.
They come up with untested things, znd yes, results take time.
I can't imagine liking abortion!! And many pregnancies do miscarriage, some tragic. These are often those wanting the baby.

That 72 hour B pill should be worked on.

Hitler was a fetus. The mother begged an abortion.
How many lives, those living, did he did?

That fetus is connected to the woman carrying it. She knows
whether to do it or not.
We respect HER.
A fetus does not have 'rights', isn't sacred. A fetus is 100% dependent,
can't survive without the woman.

And, IF you believe in God, know that God can override everything if that baby is to be born.
My response is 'You're my wife, and it won't go well if I lose you.
Who do YOU love more?'.
I believe in God. God doesn't force or shame, or bully anyone.

I couldn't follow a god like that.

Nowhere does the Bible speak about abortion.
It condemns homosexuality though.

And way back then, children were part of most people's lives.

Let women do all that work when they're ready.

Once a baby is born, everything changes, and it's good to terminate
early, no need to wait(except for pharmaceutical companies!!).

@Weltansicht We don't want to blame women when I'm sure you're familiar with last. And a strange habit women have of thinking men love them when they want sex.
Women should definitely refuse all sex with men unless everything is right.

In a Marr, fairly often men don't want 'kids', and 'split' if a baby happens.

Some marriages broke up because the wife became a mother znd the man wasn't ready.

It's a long, lonely path without a mate and 'kids' need 2 parents.
I value the woman znd the man first because they put up with it all.

Did you know plenty of kids say 'I wish I'd never been born'.
Try looking at other 3rd world countries to see if it's better.

We need to bear responsibility, see what we can afford to do.
Do you know how many lives are terminated daily, cruelly?

I'm for getting more humans having a decent life, children protected, not adding to the problem.
