Dungeons and Dragons has diverse character classes, such as:

Fighter
Wizard
Cleric
Thief
Bard

The bard has few powers. The other character classes are more powerful. But the bard has power as a war correspondent. If other characters do great things, nobody knows unless the bard gets the word out. Badass characters love having a bard in the party.

In battle, you need fighters and wizards. After the battle, you need clerics and bards.
Clerics to tend to the wounded, and bards glorify the achievements of the wounded.

Thomas Paine was a badass bard. He personally fought in Washington's army. He took hits and suffered with the soldiers. Washington ordered Paine to go to Philadelphia and report to the house of doctor Benjamin Rush. Paine arrived at Rush's doorstep as a wreck, messed up by a year of war.

Doctor Rush tended to Paine's ailments, for free. He gave Paine a room in his house to recuperate, and he gave Paine a stockpile of paper, ink, and quills. Doctor Rush enabled Paine to carry out his orders from Washington. Washington's orders to Paine were to go to Philadelphia, report to doctor Rush, be treated, and then write glorious patriotic pamphlets.

Paine wrote the Winter Soldier pamphlet, which went viral. In the backpacks of American soldiers, you find gunpowder, a bible, and copies of Paine pamphlets.

Pamphlets win wars. In war, morale matters. Paine is co-MVP of the American Revolutionary War.

In the 20th century, a dumbass post can go viral. One dumbass can post one sentence to social media and it can go viral. The reason is because in the 21st century, social media posts are cheap.

In the 18th century, it wasn't easy to make a pamphlet go viral. The pamphlet had to be good enough to inspire people to spend paper and ink to print it. In the 18th century, paper and ink and typesetting labor cost money.

Such is the glory of Paine. When Paine publishes a pamphlet, every print shop in America races to crank out as many copies as possible, such is the demand.

Thomas Paine is poor. But every time he went into a bar, he was recognized, and people bought him drinks.

Dungeons and Dragons recognizes the concept of merit, for all character types. There is merit for fighters, wizards, and bards.

Modern bards are news anchors. Fox bards understand that bardship is a high art, and they are high artists.

Democrat bards suck. They forgot that it's about bardship, not partisanship. You need to tell a good story. The Democrat narrative is boring.

Benjamin Franklin recognizes merit. When Franklin was in England, he saw Paine's potential, and he paid to bring Paine to America. Franklin also saw potential in Baron von Steuben and paid to bring him to America, as a coach to train American soldiers. Baron von Steuben proved to be a great coach, the Saban of the 18th century.
