Absolutely right! Critical thinking is not taught in the public schools (or even most private schools), but then it’s more the job of parents to teach survival skills. Most younger people believe the headlines put out by politicians and the media. It’s easier than critically assessing the narrative or even reading the full article and researching the data they reference and then checking their analysis or even believing their own eyes or knowing history or (etc ….)

I’m not overly worried about it though. Their ignorance is just like the ignorance of the generations that came before them. Life has a tendency to beat the ignorance out of many. Those who learn are the future leaders or at least the ones that succeed in life in general. I used to worry about the next generation even though I had taught my children to be critical thinkers, then I realized my children would just be ahead of the curve and become tomorrow’s leaders. It seems to have worked out that way and now we’re working on the following generation (I’m not overly worried about them either.)

@eschatologyguy True, but it didn’t take much to know that anybody would have been better than OBiden. He had a half century of incompetence to prove what kind of damage he would try to inflict. He even told us ahead of time what he wanted to do. Fortunately he wasn’t successful at accomplishing all the destruction his puppeteers had planned, but enough of the policies he warned us of have come into play and done their damage.

But you’re right that the liars had a lot of support from powerful organizations and entities. Their problem was that they never learned critical thinking skills and for most, it’s just easier to let somebody else do your thinking and fighting for you.

@eschatologyguy Absolutely! They should not be let off the hook. “News” media and politicians should never be trusted again. The best they should ever achieve is tentative trust, but always verify. Critical skills should always be employed. And those treacherous deceivers should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and thrown out of positions of trust.
