Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.You can't just eliminate 8.3 million jobs overnight. What you can do is not replace retiring employees and not expand existing positions. Beyond that you could, with legislation, reduce pay and benefits making private sector jobs more attractive. Certainly you need to eliminate public sector unions.
The real problem may not be the size of government so much as the lack of meritocracy and congressional oversight. Given the right mission and incentives government could be more productive. That is not to say that efficiency couldn't reduce government employment by half. The corruption is another story but again congress is to blame. Fire congress first then fix the executive branch.
I particularly do not like the code of federal regulations. Bureaucrats writing law just seems like a bad idea. Then again having most of the people in congress, who really work for the corporacy, writing law seems a little insane also.

I like the idea of less government and doing away with a lot of government jobs, but that was kinda what we expected President Trump would do. Attack adds focused on Trump’s signature phrase, “you’re Fired”. And Trump made a big part of his platform to “drain the swamp”. Both things never happened and we ended up with more bloat and excess in government. Things always seem to change once they get into the Oval Office. Don’t get me wrong, President Trump did an amazing job considering all the internal sabotage and attacks and resistance from the legislative branch, but he certainly didn’t fix what everybody thought his personal strengths would enable him to fix, like making the business (nation) run in the black (no deficit and reducing loan balances).

The massive Federal Bureaucracy grew as a direct result of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's unConstitutional threat to remove all nine Supreme Court Justices if they failed to vacate the Commerce Clause of our very US Constitution. In 1942, SCOTUS did exactly that in Wickard v Filburn. War weary Americans were asleep and said nothing.
Before that, the Constitution provided only for Federal regulation of Interstate Commerce, and military defense of the nation.
Abandonment of the Commerce Clause resulted in the control of what farmers could and could not grow, Soviet Central Planner style. That morphed through the decades into dozens of Federal agencies and the HSS, which controls the lives of most Americans through the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare - also unConstitutional.
If the Federal government were the size provided by the Constitution, it would be far smaller than 50% less.

Most federal land is in red states. Western red states are half federal land.

Which agency should he start with? IRS? FBI? CIA? DHS - that's the one I want to eliminate first
Dept of Education? Space Force? BLM (bureau of land management)? ...many of these agencies should be completely eliminated and the others need to be reined in significantly.

Only three above are not prohibited by the Constitution: the CIA, the IRS and the Space Force.
The rest were instituted by Democrat fiat, and not protested by the American people. Its time for us to speak.
