Uh-oh. It’s all over. Any hopes that AG Barr and John Durham might get to the truth about Spygate have been irrevocably dashed against the rocks and shoals of higher truth.

Eric Holder, you see, has declared Barr unfit for office, calling him so plainly ideological and nakedly partisan in his advocacy for President Trump that he can no longer be sufficiently objective to perform his constitutional duties. And then, fearing that he might have left us still hungry for more of his droppings, he threatened John Durham’s reputation.

This from the genius who gave us Fast and Furious, sending 14,000 guns into Mexico, a couple of which were used to murder an American agent. Lectures in partisanship from the corrupt flack who oversaw Hillary Clinton’s private server, who stood idly by while the IRS was weaponized against conservatives. Complaints about divisiveness from the cynical bigot who presided over the Ferguson riots and fed the dishonest narrative that fueled it, and then told us the country needed to have a conversation about race. And he was a central figure in the administration that let four American’s die at Benghazi. And he remains the only Attorney General charged with contempt of congress.

So what call is he answering? He’s been off the grid since he left office and returned to Covington & Burling, the law firm with so many of the large banks as clients that he’d chosen not to prosecute for their roles in the 2008 financial crisis. He’s murmured about running for President, but so far he’s heard no groundswell of support. Why suddenly inject himself in the national conversation in such a divisive manner?

Obviously, the wingman is being called out to run interference once more for his old boss. Brennan, Clapper and Comey can’t be counted on to take the bullets that Barr and Durham are readying. Don’t be surprised to see Valerie Jarrett start mouthing off soon. Maybe Michelle will pop up and solemnly intone that she is once more disappointed in our country?

Obama has yet to join the fray. But that day can’t be far off. He’s feeling the heat.

They're circling the wagons.
If you ever wonder what they're up to, they have a reliable "tell". They preemptively accuse their perceived adversary of exactly what they've been doing, then try to slink away in a cloud of "tit-for-tat" bickering.

How do you know they colluded with foreign actors to rig the 2016 election? Because that's exactly what they hysterically accused the Trump campaign of doing. They even abused the powers entrusted to them trying to frame him for it. They literally panicked when Trump won the election... because if Hillary had won as expected, none of their treasons would have ever seen the light of day. They were counting on that, they were "all in".
They thought they "owned" this country.
They had literally bet it all on the presumption that they could inflict Bill's wife on the nation as a puppet in the Oval Office to continue providing them cover.
And they lost that bet.

So, they simply had to follow-up with something after the collusion circus left town. They have to keep pretending that Trump is not a legitimate authority, they have no choice and they know it.
They've painted themselves into a corner, and the color they chose was treason.

So, they fabricated the ridiculous fiction, out of pure conjecture, that Trump tried to extort Ukraine.
And, why did they choose that?
Because they knew Biden did exactly that, and they knew it would come up during the campaign.
And why is Barr, of all people, a partisan ideologue who can't possibly be objective? Well, precisely because that's what Holder is and he knows it. He's just laying the groundwork, preparing to be publicly called out for it. Finally.
Barr and/or Durham will be accused of an actual crime soon, count on it. Maybe having a role in running guns to Mexico, treasonously targeting "enemies" with the IRS, or purposefully exposing top-level classified info to America's enemies just to hide their activities from the American people...
Probably not that specific, but it will be something. Once they're done polling and focus-grouping "offenses", and they pick something specific to accuse Barr of, that will tell us two things:
Barr probably didn't do it.
One of them probably did.
