So Chucky Schumer has called upon the GOP to cancel next week’s hearings, slated to kick off with Rod Rosenstein. Just chasing conspiracy theories, he complained. Quite a shift from when he was demanding that everyone in the administration testify under oath, to unearth the “conspiracy between Trump and Russia.
First off, can we not whine about a double standard, to which the only sane reply is “Do you know how to spell D-U-H?” Truth time: Schumer is one of the most politically savvy politicians in Washington. This is not necessarily a compliment, but it is an acknowledgment that he understands the game and how to survive it. So when he lies to us, and he knows he’s lying, and he knows we know he’s lying, and he doesn’t care, the real story has nothing to do with the surface narrative?
