Amy Coney-Barrett has been sworn in as Justice of the Supreme Court.
Speaking at the White House, Coney-Barrett says the confirmation highlights the difference between the political branches and the judicial branch of the federal government. Politicians, she noted must push for their policies. Judges, however, must set aside their policies and personal preference to be guided by rule of law and the constitution, something which both Republicans and Democrats seem to feel is impossible
The oath of office was administered by Justice Clarence Thomas, as President Trump looked on. Down in the polls and a just week from the election, will this ceremony be one of Donald Trump’s last victories?

I hope you’re right. An America under Biden, an empty figurehead for Kamala, the Squad and the woke-progs would be a disaster. But right now, it’s not looking good.
It will actually be bad for many Republicans up for reelection. Look at how desperate Graham has been lately. The American people see just how hypocritical the Republicans have been after they blocked Obama's nomination. Many will be voted out in November due to this. This was their last little victory, and now they will have to sit idly by and watch if the Democrats win power and choose to change the court, which would be fully Constitutional.

I hope you are wrong about the election. You are right, of course, in saying that changing the Court would be Constitutional, if by that you are referring to the addition of more Justices. I don't think it would be wise, but it would be Constitutional, just as tonight's vote was Constitutional. It would just take the Democrats winning both house of Congress and the Presidency to do it, if my understanding is correct, which is why I hope you are wrong about the election.
