Distractions... and then some more distractions.
They have us fighting between Trump and Biden.
The election fraud is so in your face obvious. We are so distracted by it. It is too obvious and appears to be done to keep Trump occupied his last months as president. What about the rest of us? What are we not noticing?
In NZ house prices are exploding again in late 2020.
It was one of the cornerstone election promises by the Labour government. House prices actually increases faster under Labour than under National (although it has happened under both). In the last 6 years, salaries gone up by 12,5%. House prices by 250%.
Child poverty and inequality in general, another election cornerstone has gotten worse.
There are a massive power shift from local government to central government with the Three Waters Reform being pushed through in great haste and zero coverage by the media.
All these things are happening, this is just the obvious stuff.
What are we missing because we all are falling for the planned COVID and now election controversies?

I have been resisting being sucked into the Covid or US election bubble. There is so much more going on in the world: Iranian scientist's assassination blamed on Israel, Thai anti-government protest that has been going on since July, protests taking place in South Africa against Ethiopia's Tigray conflict, to name but a few.

It does not matter for this discussion.
Personally I doubt Biden himself is involved in any fraud.
However, there is sooo much wrong with this election. Whether it actually changed the outcome, I do not know nor do I claim to know.
However, it was obvious stuff went down.
Again I do not know or claim to know. However it has distracted us for so long and continue to do so.
If they were going to cheat they could have done it to so much more clandestine. So I am starting to think that this is all just distractions.
It may not change the outcome, maybe it never had an impact anyway... however we are all preoccupied by it.
@Hanno Is it really? And if so, how was it different from say, the shenanigans in Florida and Ohio in 2000 and 2004, respectively?

Either way, that is my point. We are continually being stopped from seeing what is going on.

You may not have noticed that aside from your post here, I have been ignoring the whole election fraud circus. Are you trying to have your cake and eat it too or did you unintentionally undermine your own argument?

So no, you have not ignored the circus at all.
You will fall for the next one that does not fit your perspective. Just like the right is falling for this one.
I am not saying the fraud was significant to change election. I am saying the fraud / interference /misconduct was blatant. And it got the reaction.
I am not interested to go into the details with you. If you don’t see it, you don’t.
My point is it is enough to get everyone on the right preoccupied... just like the Russian collusion got everyone on the left preoccupied.
Just like climate change had everyone preoccupied for two decades, and before that the Cold War, and now COVID.

I'm moving on from all of the circuses and am focusing on rooting my politics in the material needs, power dynamics, and policies of my community, which are little different from those anywhere else in the neoliberal sphere. From there, I hope to have a better understanding of the conflicts happening outside of it.
