Professor Peterson is living with a distinct disadvantage in that his life has been devoted to research & teaching. When I looked at this lengthy video (well some of the encounters between these gentlemen are lengthy) my first thought was that these encounters were attempts at casting pearls. It is Professor Peterson’s proclivity, his habit even, to teach as best he can. But all Professor Peterson can do with little he has is plant a seed – it’s not his place to make that seed grow.

The admonishment to not cast your pearls before swine WAS AN ADMONISHMENT NOT TO DEBATE TRUTH such as is being done in these encounters with Sam Harris. Not one single veil can be lifted from anyone's eyes at the behest of one single human being. In short, don’t debate truth, just leave a seed & if it grows more is the better but if it doesn’t grow more is still the better for you have done as you were commanded. Otherwise the admonishment that “He that does not gather with me scatters.”

Does a fisherman fight (debate/argue) with the fish or does he snare it with kind hooks (words) of truth?

ANOTHER POINT OF INTEREST & CONTENTION IS THE EXISTENCE OF GOD:

Because GOD is beyond mankind's ability to even comprehend there have been, and still are, many attempts to just conceive of him. Some are given to attribute divinity to anything real or imagined in their zeal to comprehend GOD. Moses was denied sight of The God – why then so much presumptuousness. Anything can be a god but there is only one THE GOD which you or I can’t even comprehend – including Sam Harris, Douglas Murry or Professor Peterson.

How many times does humanity have to be told not to worship the creation(s) – but worship only THE GOD and creator of everything. THE GOD is a jealous GOD that will not allow you to be tested beyond your ability to endure. THE GOD loves humanity so much that gave up his only son (the Word) as an atoning perpetual sacrifice for your salvation if you call it. But before THE GOD allowed HIS only son to be sacrificed in human form as proof of HIS kindness & love he tested his only human friend Abraham to find out if Abraham loved HIM as much in return. Of course HE stopped Abraham short when HE was satisfied that HIS love was being reciprocated.

This is why it is affirmed that: “No one comes to the FATHER except through me.” ~ Jesus Christ. Just as ALL prayer is required to be suffixed with “In Jesus Christ’s name.”
