Noted bartender and political seer AOC bleats that failure to excite the progressive base resulted in the low voter turnout responsible for their losses in the recent election. Just one problem with that propaganda spin: voter turnout in Virginia was 25% higher than in any other governor’s race in Virginia’s history. What’s got her panties in wad is what this says about the mythical “progressive base”: it’s just another social construct, invented by the left and pushed by the propaganda machine of the mainstream media. But it takes more than a narrative to create a reality, and the reality is that progressives might not be that much of a base after all, and their media mouthpieces might not deserve the mainstream label. In fact, the whole lot of them have been shown to still lurk in the shadowy fringes of the political landscape, where they’ve always been. Minus media lies and election fraud, they are not a significant factor in a country nauseated by their agenda, and their criminal tactics.

What struck me about those parents in Louden County, Virginia was that they were prototypically democrat voters. They were educated professionals in one of the most prosperous, educated counties in the country. The Democrats alienated their own base.
This betrays a profound lack of self awareness, an ignorance of why they appeal to even to those who are generally sympathetic to them. It is revealing.
